Exotic car brand Maserati is best known for three ranges: GranCabrio, Quattroporte, and GranTurismo. It's an intimate offering compared to more mainstream automakers. However, it doesn't look as though it will remain as such for long. Recent reports indicate that the Italian automaker is gearing up to make 10 times as many vehicles in approximately three years' time.

To put the extent of this initiative into better perspective, consider for a moment that Maserati, founded 98 years ago, produced under 5,700 units in 2010. Fast forward five years to 2015, and they hope to sell 50k.

The market they're hoping to steal the most share in?

You guessed it. America. Specifically, Maserati is planning to take the E segment by storm. Watch out Tri-Pointed Star.

Beyond the U.S. boundaries, Maserati is also planning to join practically every other automaker out there and target burgeoning growth in China.

That said; the question of exactly what new models Maserati has up their sleeves remains to be seen. One thing we know for sure is that they won't disappoint.
